Alerts
Gunbot can execute trading alerts from various platforms such as TradingView. You can connect custom trading strategies and have trades automatically placed whenever your signals arrive.
Gunbot supports incoming alerts via email and webhooks. This means that you can use any platform or custom tool that can send these types of messages with the necessary syntax and have them interpreted by Gunbot. By default, Gunbot supports alerts from TradingView.com.
📄️ Webhook alerts
Using webhooks, alerts from TradingView.com can be sent directly to a Gunbot instance. You need to be able to run Gunbot on a device that is publicly accessible on port 443.
📄️ Email alerts
The Gunbot TradingView add-on lets you carry out trading alerts sent from custom strategies on TradingView, giving you full control over your strategy on the platform. Gunbot gets trade signals via email and responds with trades.
One useful feature of Gunbot is its ability to run in exclusive mode for executing alerts. This means that it can focus solely on executing your trading signals without interference from other strategies. Additionally, you can also combine alerts with automated strategies. For example, you can handle buy signals externally and sell them using your favorite automated strategy.
To get started with alerts, make sure you understand how to set up and configure your trading signals on your chosen platform. You can then send alerts to Gunbot and receive incoming alerts via email or webhooks. Once configured, Gunbot will work tirelessly in the background, executing trades according to your customized, external trading strategies.
